I am an artist living in Virginia, my work is based on old family snapshots as well as found photographs.

When both my parents died in the early 1990's, I inherited two family albums. "Distant Cousins" was born from this odd assortment of fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, cousins, distant relatives and friends. It became not only an obsession for me but a vehicle for my work.

Materials;  xeroxes of photographs collaged on found metal and painted in acrylics

"Here and There" is a small collection of pastels based on my snapshots;  one summer vacation in Alabama, a Serengeti lion and Masai dog and a Dog Show in Albemarle County.

Materials; 8 x 10 pastel colored xerox snapshots

"Cosmic Chimps" are declassified photographs made by the military during the late 1950's and early 60's "race to space" between the United States and Soviet Union.

Materials; 3ft x 4ft xeroxed photographs collaged on board, painted in acrylics and the text is excerpts from NASA archives
